FoodTrip ni TJ: Samgyeopmasarap SM North EDSA

Quezon City, METRO MANILA
Date: NOV 14, 2019

The 2019 Geology Board Examinations has come to an end, and my friends wanted to unwind after a stressful three-day exam. Grace suggested that we should check out Samgyeopmasarap – one of the newly opened shops in SM North EDSA’s Lifestyle Center. This is a first-time experience for me and ended up feeling satisfied as pork and chicken flooded our table.

The sides, lettuce leaves, and meat on our table
It was already 6:00 PM when Grace sent us a chat that she wanted to eat out. Aljhon and I took a quick LRT ride to SM North EDSA, and we met Grace, Shery, Edmarie, and Janet at the Block. We went to the newly opened Lifestyle Center of SM North EDSA, located below the North Towers. Grace wanted to eat at Samgyeopmasarap, and we all agreed to her suggestion.

My friends opted for unlimited pork, but I decided to order unlimited chicken instead because I don’t eat pork. The price for the unlimited chicken was P349, and it was P399 for unlimited pork. Taxes are not yet included, so expect that your final bill will be higher.

We were seated on the right side of the restaurant, near the area where the staff work. One of the crew started to light up our stove, and they delivered the meat on our table. They also gave us a free bowl of rice, but we declined it.

Aside from unlimited chicken and pork meat, we were also given a lot of side dishes. There was an unlimited supply of lettuce, kimchi, tofu, and potato. We also have unlimited access to oil and different sauces.

Everyone's having a good time!
VERDICT: ★★★☆☆

Samgyeopmasarap is a good place to hang out with friends. There were no lines inside, and we were immediately seated. The food also tasted good, especially their sauces and side dishes. However, what I didn’t like about the place is that the taxes are not yet included in the price that they offered. What I thought to be a P349 meal ended up costing more than that.
