Puerto Galera: Lovelier the Second Time Around

Puerto Galera, ORIENTAL MINDORO
Date: SEP 28-29, 2013

Because of Puerto Galera’s proximity to Metro Manila, my officemates and I decided to give it a visit and stay there to relax. This trip was full of amusement and discovery, and we also tried out some water activities. But as a matter of fact, a two-day trip is not enough to enjoy Puerto Galera – but still, we had a great time during our short visit.

Vigan: The Heritage City

Vigan, ILOCOS SUR
Date: AUG 31 - SEP 01, 2013

The city of Vigan in Ilocos Sur is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it seemed like I traveled back to the Spanish colonial period when I managed to set foot on this charming old city. The remains of the past are very evident in every corner of the city – from the cobblestone laid roads to the old houses that lined up Calle Crisologo. Good thing that the locals managed to preserve the beauty of their city and Vigan is genuinely something we Filipinos can be proud of.

A different kind of adrenalin rush is what our adventure today is all about. We went to Paoay and Ilocos Norte’s capital city, Laoag, to try out some cool activities. From visiting Laoag’s cultural sites, we found ourselves driving through the sand dunes of Paoay trying out sand boarding and some other “extreme” stuff.

Maira-ira Beach: Northernmost Escapade

Pagudpud, ILOCOS NORTE
Date: AUG 28-29, 2013

I’ve heard so many stories about how beautiful Pagudpud is from those who managed to get there. However, the travel time and its distance from Manila is what makes the trip challenging. I’m so lucky because finally, I will be able to visit this place. This will be my first time in the provinces of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, and I can’t help myself from being too excited from this new adventure!

Puerto Galera: the Pearl of Mindoro

Puerto Galera, ORIENTAL MINDORO
Date: JAN 19-21, 2013

Puerto Galera – one of the prime destinations in the Philippines. Many tourists prefer Puerto Galera to be their vacation destination because of its proximity to Manila. It's my first time to ride a boat going to another island aside from Luzon, and I am very excited about it, even though I am a little bit scared because of how dangerous the seas can be. But in the end, everything's worth it because this place is wonderful.
